We don't just teach music—we deliberately integrate music and mindset in a way no traditional music school does. While other programs might passively hope music builds character, we explicitly and intentionally teach mindset principles during every lesson. Your child won't just learn how to play songs; they will systematically practice perseverance, focus, emotional regulation, and long-term consistency. It is a complete developmental program designed to help your child form healthy habits, stick through challenges, and build lifelong emotional strength.
Your child gets the most out of Sound Mind Club when the home environment mirrors what we teach in class. As a co-pilot, sitting with them for 45 minutes allows you to learn the exact tools, language, and exercises they are using so you can guide them confidently during home practice.
Building emotional resilience and focus requires consistency. A month-to-month setup allows kids (and parents) to drop out as soon as a lesson gets challenging. Committing to 18 weeks ensures your child stays the course long enough to build real, lasting habits.
Learning piano and building inner resilience are lifelong skills—18 weeks is just the foundation! At the end of your first semester, your child will graduate to the next level. You will have the option to re-enroll for the Spring semester to continue their progress, where they’ll tackle higher-level music, deeper mindfulness tools, and be placed with an age-matched cohort as they advance.
While live participation is strongly encouraged for the interactive experience, session recordings are available if your child misses a class due to illness or personal obligations.
Because we hold a dedicated spot for your child and structure our small groups around consistent peer dynamics, we ask every family for a full 18-week commitment. Growth takes time, and sticking through initial challenges is a core part of the program!
We understand that unpredictable life events happen. In rare circumstances—such as a serious medical condition or major family emergency—we allow mid-semester withdrawals. Except for these unforeseen emergencies, the full 18-week financial commitment remains due.
We stand behind our program with a Good-Fit Guarantee. If you participate fully—attending the live classes as a co-pilot and engaging in the practices—and realize within the first 30 days that the program isn't a fit for your child, just let us know. We will issue a full refund, no hard feelings. We want this to be a joyful, transformative investment for your family.
The Sound Mind Club is built specifically for children aged 6 to 11.
For your child’s first 18-week semester, all students aged 6 to 11 participate in the foundational introductory curriculum together. This initial level is designed so that varied ages learn alongside one another smoothly. Once your child completes this intro semester and re-enrolls for the next round, students are divided into specific age and skill groups.
Yes, absolutely—this program was practically built for them! Traditional lessons demand long periods of rigid sitting and dry sheet-music drills, which naturally cause young kids to check out. Our "Spark" phase uses short, high-engagement wins, interactive pattern-based learning, and frequent movement. We keep lessons fast-paced and dynamic so your child stays captivated, builds quick confidence, and actually looks forward to sitting at the keys.
It is actually more effective for this age group! Private lessons can quickly feel like an isolated chore, whereas small groups foster community, accountability, and joy. Children are naturally inspired when they see peers trying, succeeding, and pushing through challenges alongside them. Group settings reduce performance anxiety, make learning fun, and build a sense of belonging that keeps kids excited to show up every single week.
A digital keyboard is completely fine! You do not need a full-sized acoustic piano to start. All your child needs is a basic keyboard with at least 61 keys (though an 88-key keyboard is great too) that has touch-sensitive or weighted keys and a sustain pedal. As long as it sits on a sturdy stand at a comfortable height, your child has everything they need to succeed.
Not at all—we keep the setup super simple! You don’t need any expensive studio gear or complicated tech. All you need is a laptop, tablet, or computer positioned so we can see your child's hands and the keyboard. We will also help you with the setup and make sure you’re ready for class!
