Beyond the Lessons...
🎹 I was just 6 when I begged my parents for piano lessons. Little did I know that this journey would impact not only me but also so many others.
🎶 When I began, I had no idea that piano would teach me more than music. It instilled life skills like commitment, consistency, creativity, and compassion in me.
💪 Piano taught me to commit to something, to stick with it no matter how tough it gets. I learned that showing up every day was half the battle. Consistency became my guiding star, not just on the piano but in life. Those daily practice routines shaped my approach to everything.

❤️ Creativity bloomed as I tackled every piece. I discovered the power of innovation and thinking outside the box. But the most important thing I learned was compassion. Music can touch the deepest parts of your soul. It's not just about playing notes; it's about feeling them. And the more I got connected to myself, the more I was able to connect deeper with the people in my life.
🌟 I, along with our teachers here at Katz Keys don’t just see ourselves as a piano teacher. We see ourselves as a life coach.
Our goal is simple: We use music as a vehicle to teach and inspire students to lead joy filled successful lives.Joy filled success in academics, careers, health, and most importantly, in relationships.
We do this by actively engaging in our students' lives both during and beyond piano lessons.
We believe that we can nurture these life skills through our consistent acts of love, kindness, and thoughtfulness, within and outside our lessons.

Everything I couldn’t process, wrap my mind around and voice out… Music was there for me, not just because I listened to it, but because I was an active participant. I have the skills to process music, which helps me feel music on a deeper level, and I can let it flow through me because I can play music, giving me a safe place to just be.
